What is Supported Living
Supported living allows individuals to be as independent as possible but with the appropriate amount of support always there for them to do so. While living in one of our flats they are encouraged and supported in undertaking everyday skills such as personal care, shopping, caring for their environment and accessing the local community and beyond.
Forrest House staff provide individual care packages for each of those involved. The packages are designed to meet their personal needs and aspirations, and to promote improved self image and self esteem.
Care and support includes:
Personal care
Supervision, ordering and administering medication.
General household duties and cleaning.
Food / personal shopping.
Assistance with the arranging of social outings and holidays
Accompanying individuals to social outing and holidays
Discussing and organising access to educational activities.
Assistance with budgeting, payment of bills and general managing of finances.
